Prophecy in the News: June 2023

May 14, 2023 was the 75th year anniversary of Israel becoming a nation. Jesus said that the generation that witnesses the rebirth of Israel will see the Endtime events (Matthew 24:32-34). According to the Book of Psalms, a generation can be as long as 80 years. You do the math.

Australia has reported that flu cases are higher this year than the average of the past 5 years. The US usually has the Australian average per capita or slightly higher. Looks like the US is in for a long flu season.

America now has a Gay Pride Month. It is a celebration of the right to live any lifestyle that does not physically hurt another person. This Constitutionally backed freedom includes any sexual proclivities a person might have. However, this legal right is seen as morally wrong by all major religions of the world. This issue is exactly the same situation we find in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. These were two very wealthy cities with very liberal laws concerning sexual lifestyles. A sort of Las Vegas of the Middle East where what happened in Sodom stayed in Sodom. Primarily men came to these cities to enjoy various types of legally permissible sex acts that were prohibited in other cities. God showed His displeasure by destroying these two cities with a fiery rain of molten sulfur. If God did not tolerate this type legalized lifestyle then, we can be absolutely sure He does not tolerate it today (Numbers 23:19; Psalm 33:17; I Samuel 15:29; Malachi 3:6). These two cities have recently been found and excavated. Thousands of sulfur balls still litter the ruins.

The Federal Highway commission has lowered the speed limit in all lanes through urban areas to 55mph. They will now be known as “The Texting Lanes”.

Biden remarked in a speech that he loved Florida. That’s probably because in Florida he is considered middle age.

It was discovered that cows fed a steady diet of hemp give hemp infused milk. This new milk will soon be on the market in states where marijuana has been legalized. However, the new motto of this milk product will be changed from “Got Milk?" to “Do You Ever Wonder if Milk Gets You?”

Oreo brand cookie is test marketing a new cookie called The Most Oreo. This is an Oreo with a filling of vanilla cream mixed with crushed Oreos. As opposed  to The Least Oreo which is a Hydrox. On an interesting side note, this hybrid Oreo has sold out in states where hemp milk is sold.

The Dahmer Story video has been viewed 701.37 hours making it the second most viewed Netflix video of all time. With that in mind, you might as well get ready for the new series coming this Fall… “Chicago Dahmer”.

An A.I. car can be programmed to start itself and drive to a repossession lot if the monthly payment is not made on time. Hard times ahead for tow truck drivers but good times ahead for garage door manufactures.

Although it was not mentioned in the news, March 23rd was National Atheist Day. I think we can all agree, “Thank God that’s over!” And, while it might seem counter intuitive, should not atheists, agnostics and non-believers show support for people with diverse religious beliefs? I mean, fair is fair…right?

A thief in a Shelton Hotel stole two designer bags worth over $8,000. He grabbed them so quickly that he did not realize that one was used to carry a hairless cat. The thief was later caught trying to sell what he thought were three designer bags.

The newest virtual reality goggles have been released for hard core gamers. The selling price is $3,000 and they are said to fully immerse gamers into an alternate reality. The artificial images are said to be so visually compelling that gamers will not notice their wives and children leaving them in real life.

Recently headlines read, “Hearts Broken as White Castle Closes”. This is the first time that a headline has been both poetic and medically accurate.

In a recent survey, the fast food restaurant with the slowest services was Chick-fil-A . Hard to believe as the sandwich is simply a fried chicken breast on a bun with a pickle. On the other hand, the fast food chain with the fastest drive through was McDonalds. But that’s because half the consumers dive up to the window, ask for ice-cream, are told the machine is broken and immediately yell, “BYE!”

Putin’s top General Sergel Surovikin nicknamed "General Armageddon" for his inhumane war tactics, was called back to Moscow by Putin and has not been heard of since his arrival. Well, you know what they say concerning Putin, “When one door closes, a four story window opens.”
