Are We Living in the End Times Revealed

The Bible prophesizes that there will be many Signs and Wonders in the heavens that will announce the End Times or when End of the Age of the Rule of Mankind is very near (Genesis 1:14;Joel 2:31; Mark 13:24). There will also be many signs in nature and among the nations (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8; Luke 21:10). It is true that many of these events are common place and have occurred at various times throughout history. However, the Bible tells us that just before the Rapture, Seven Year Tribulation and Second Coming of Christ, all these events will happen in rapid succession one right after another. This is God’s way of causing mankind to stop their all-consuming daily routines about themselves, and question just what exactly is going on around them. The whole point of these events is to cause mankind to take the focus off of physical daily life, and instead focus on spiritual eternal life.

These Signs can be categorized as Natural Signs, Spiritual Signs, Sociological Signs, Technological Signs and Political Signs. We can read what Scripture says about each of these type events, and if they are all occurring now throughout the Earth, then we can rightly assume if we are in fact living in the End Times.

The Gospel of Luke list some of the Natural Signs that will occur during the Tribulation just before Jesus’ Second Coming. There will be great earthquakes felt around the Earth (Luke 21:11). The ability to accurately monitor earthquakes started in the 1960’s. Since then, modest to major quakes have remained steady at a rate of  approximately 15 to 18 events annually. There will be famines and pestilences {plague, disease} throughout the world (Matthew 24:7). In 2020 the world experienced a sharp rise in famines due to wars and climate shock. There was also a sharp rise in pestilence due to the Covid pandemic that killed 18.2 million people worldwide in 2020-2021. There will be terrifying events such as volcanic eruptions and tsunami events. Volcano eruptions have remained stable at a rate of between 40 to 60 per years. However, tsunami events have risen slightly in the past thirty years. Fifty percent of the world’s population currently live in areas exposed to storms and tsunami activity. There will be signs in the atmosphere of the Earth and in space. The Earth is experiencing extreme weather conditions and these events are statistically accelerating. The summers of 2023-2025 recorded the hottest temperature on record. Also, significantly more worldwide heatwaves, torrential rain storms and severe droughts were recorded. NASA has warned that as of 2008, the Sun apparently “Woke up!” It has increased its energy output by 45%. This means more solar flares and sun spots, which negatively effect satellite transmissions. Also, astronomers are reporting significantly more comet and interstellar meteor activity. While we should not interpret every natural disaster or space activity as a Sign of the End times, Scripture tells us that a sudden increase in natural disasters and space activity will serve as a warm-up to get people’s attention and began to wonder what is coming next.  Jesus refers to this period of time as beginning “birth pangs” (Matthew 24:8).

The Bible also gives both positive and negative Spiritual Signs. We are told that many will began to follow false teachers (Matthew 24:11; Matthew 24:24; II Timothy 3-4; Revelation 13:4). There has been a significant rise in cult activity around the world with an estimated 3,000 cults now operating just in America. Cults have become mainstream and millions of people quietly follow cult teachings on line. People are lured by cults due to social isolation, fears, loneliness and living in what they see as an unstable world. Polls show that one third of Americans have been approached by a member of a cult. Cults often combine conspiracy theories with spirituality. Many so called Wellness organizations include cult psychology that helps to keep a person involve with the group. This is why one can talk with a cult member, but not be able to reason with them. They have been taught that someone who tries to turn them is someone who is trying to trick them. Trying to lure them off the path to a better future. Cults almost always center around charismatic leaders. We often read of these people pronouncing great heresies, deceptions and even occultism. There are dozens of so called Christian denominations that have blatant heresies in their doctrines. You can read details about them in other Papers on this website. Please see Related: “Five Signs of the End Times”. Many people have and will freely choose to follow New Age or ancient pagan religions that worship the forces of nature. Some of these nature oriented religions include the Shinto religion, Druidism, Wicca{witches), Indigenous native Earth religions, Taoism and Zoroastrianism.

On the positive side, the prophet Joel prophesied that at the End of the Age, there will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Joel 2:28-32). While this outpouring began on Pentecost of 33 AD, now the world will experience many more believers revealing prophecies from God concerning the End of the Age events to come (Acts 2:1-4). Today we see the effect of this outpouring of the Holy Spirit in revivals and many Christian led movements. We also see it in the worldwide preaching of the Gospel by way of missionaries and satellite broadcasts. Jesus prophesied that once the Gospel had been preached throughout the world, we should expect His Second Coming (Matthew 24:14). We have now reached this goal. Jesus did not say He would return when all people believed, but when all people had been offered the opportunity to believe.

Then there are Societal Signs. Immorality is rampant in society today. We see it in the sex trafficking of adults and children, the development of sex robots, and a pornography movie industry viewed by 72 million people monthly with annual worldwide profits of 300 billion dollars. Today, live sex is available on demand by way of the internet. The Dark Web has porn sites that include infants and toddlers. We see the blurring of traditional male and female identity. Drug induced death rates have risen by 31% in the past thirty years. Death rates by alcohol have risen to 2.6 million annually. Today, one in eight women in the world will be raped before the age of eighteen. Worldwide prison populations have risen 27% in the past twenty years to a total of 12 million inmates {11 million men}. These statistics are proof that we are now living in a hedonistic, morally bankrupt and materialistic society. People have become lovers of themselves. And through the power of money, a person can become their own god. They can now obtain anything they desire that will bring them pleasure. From a living person, to a robotic facsimile, to a fantasy world through the use of virtual reality technology. More and more, people are detaching from society and looking out only for themselves. They follow what they see as right in their own eyes. If the wealthy break the law, they can now afford lawyers who can tie up a legal case in perpetuity. Today the rich are getting extraordinarily richer. We now have our first trillionaire. And yet, at the same time, the wealthy are donating much less to charities. These cultural changes and aberrant behaviors are no longer only found in the oil rich countries of the Middle East and palaces in third world countries. Drugs, porn and sex trafficking can now be found in the heart lands of rural America (II Timothy 3:1-4).

The fulfillment of many Bible prophecies seemed impossible until the last few years. The worldwide rule and actions of the Antichrist were once thought to be a complete impossibility. But now, with the internet and AI, they are easily achievable. Today, the administration of the Antichrist could absolutely control world commerce. In this way, he can force people to take a pledge of allegiance to him and receive a “Mark” or ID (Revelation 13:17). With this mark, only his followers will be able to participate in his One World Economy. And, his followers will be able to carry out his decrees concerning purges and executions worldwide (Revelation 13:15). Until recently, it was thought that mankind could never build a machine that could listen, reason and speak. Tell that to Alexa, one of many Smart Speaker systems now on the market. These systems have been installed in 50% of the homes in America. These systems are always on, always listening and always recording conversations. This is also true with all Smart TVs and iPhones.

On an interesting note, by law a person can contact the manufacture of their system and request a transcript of all conversations recorded by their devices. Let’s just say in advance that you will be shocked!

There are now Political Signs. The biggest prophetic political event to date has been the restoration of Israel as a nation. This occurred in 1948. All the End time prophecies could only occur after Israel became a nation. At the turn of the 20th century, no one would ever have dreamed that after 2,000 years of being scattered to every corner of the Earth, the Jewish people would gather again back in Israel. And even more remarkable, they brought with them their religion, language, laws and customs exactly as they were 2,000 years earlier when Rome expelled them from their land. Unbelievably, Jerusalem is once again the capital of Israel and the entire Arab world is still united against them. This has made little Jerusalem, in the tiny State of Israel, the geopolitical center of the world. The prophet Isaiah asked the question, “Shall the Earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once?” (Isaiah 66:8) The answer would normally be “No!” But this is what happened on May 16^th 1948. As for the final War of Armageddon, the prophet Zachariah wrote, “In that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it will be cut in pieces though all the people of the Earth be gathered to go against it.”(Zachariah 12:3) Jesus stated that at the End of the Age, “… nation {country} will rise against nation, and {spiritual} kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:7) Jesus went on to say, “And you will hear of  wars and rumors of wars ”. There are currently 130 armed conflicts raging around the world today. This is twice as many as there were fifteen years ago. Wars are lasting longer, growing more deadly, and some have lasted for generations. The Russian/Ukraine War has lasted four years. In that time, 1.2 million Russian soldiers have been injured {350K killed} and 600,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been injured (100K killed}.

These are just a few of the many Signs that prove we are currently living in the final years of this final Age of Mankind. There are many more signs given in Scripture to be on the lookout for. God has graciously made them available, because The lord is…long suffering towards us not willing that any should parish, but that all will come to repentance {eternal life}.” (II Peter 3:9) God has always shown Himself to be long suffering and has always given ample warnings over long periods of time before pouring out His wrath on the wicked and unrepentant.

On a more positive note, living in the End Time also means that the Resurrection and Rapture of the Church could now happen at any moment. There are no prophecies that need to be accomplished for these events to occur. The Resurrection and Rapture will be the first incredible and inexplicable events to happen in order to spiritually awaken an unbelieving Earth. In the Resurrection, the physical bodies of believers will seem to have disappeared from their graves. Actually, they were instantly reconstituted, made immortal and then were drawn up through the earth as easy as one walks through a doorway. Millions of undisturbed graves will be exhumed only to find the remains missing. At the same time, approximately four to five billion living adults and children {nineteen and under} will also disappear (Numbers 14:29). This event will obviously be the trigger for the seven year Tribulation Period. The entire world has now been put on notice that, in no uncertain terms, the clock will now start ticking, and the Second Coming of Christ will occur exactly 7 years later. Satan will also put on alert and will now be allowed to start his plan to save himself through the use of his son the Antichrist. The following seven years will be a mix of salvation and eternal life for some, and condemnation and death for others. Either way, the time in the end of the rule of mankind has officially begun.

Then, on the final minute of the final hour of the final day of the final year, Jesus will appear in the skies above the Earth. Every human being clearly will see Him (Matthew 24:30; Revelation 19:11-15). And every human being will be given one last chance to repent of their sins and receive eternal life. Many will drop to their knees and accept Christ as their Saviour from God’s coming judgement. But unbelievably, many will rage against Christ, many will pray to the Antichrist to be saved, and the rest will run and hide (Revelation 6:16-17; Revelation 16:9). The goats will now be separated from the sheep (Matthew 25:31-34; Matthew 25:41). With a single command from Christ, all the wicked and unrepentant of the Earth will be instantly tried, judged and simultaneously collapse dead (John 3:36; Revelation 19:15).

The Earth is now completely free from all evil people. It is at this moment in time that Jesus will begin His Millennial Rule of the Earth (Revelation 20:4-6). At long last, the curse since the time of Adam's fall is lifted, and the entire world and all its people of all nations are at peace with their Creator and each other (Genesis 3:17). As it once was “In the Beginning” in the Garden of Eden, so now it will also be at this new Beginning. Jesus said, “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:1-6; Matthew 19:28).

“Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
