Exact Dates of Jesus' Resurrection, Pentecost, and Second Coming
According to modern astronomy, Jesus was crucified on Friday April 3rd, 33 AD. That evening a Blood Moon arose over Jerusalem and the Feast of Passover began.

Please note, the ancients had calendars based on the phases of the moon. So, each month had thirty days and a full moon always occurred on the 15th of the month. The dates of the following events have been recalculated in order to show where they fall according to our modern calendar. The modern calendar only occasionally has a full moon occurring on the 15th of the month. So, first we take a modern computer driven astronomy app that is timed to our modern calendar. We then run it backwards to find the date that a full moon appeared on a Friday evening, with Passover occurring on Saturday, just before or right after the beginning of the in the first century AD. We can now clearly see that this happened, according to or modern calendar, on Friday April 3rd, 33 AD.
The following day or Saturday April 4th, {or the 15th of Nissan ancient calendar} Passover continued with services in the Temple. The next day or Sunday April 5th, Jesus arose from the dead and the countdown began for the Feast of Pentecost or Shavuot.
Please note, in the first century, Jews considered any part of a day as a full day. Therefore, Jesus was crucified on Friday and entombed {day one and night one}. He was in His tomb Saturday {day two and night two}. He arose on Sunday {day three}. Sunday evening, before or after He met with His disciples, He went back down into Sheol a second time and lead the 'righteous' intelligent spirits of the dead up and into Heaven. This then would be the third night making three days and three nights He was "...in the heart of the Earth" (Matthew 12:40; Ephesians 4:8).

The Feast of Pentecost celebrates the giving of the Law by God to Moses on Mount Sinai. This event occurred fifty days after the first Passover held the night before the Jews made their Exodus out of Egypt and north to the land of Judah.
THE DATE OF PENTECOST AND JESUS' ASCENSION

In order to accurately calculate the ascension date of Jesus, we must first know the date of Pentecost 33 AD. To accomplish this, we need to start a fifty day count on the day after Passover or Sunday the 5th. Remembering there were thirty days in every month, we arrive at Sunday, May 24th. This was the date that the disciples, while sitting in the Temple plaza waiting to attend Pentecost services, experienced the arrival of the Holy Spirit which permanently indwelled them. The prophet Joel wrote about this event (Joel 2:28-28). This was also the moment when the disciples {students} officially became Apostles{preachers} and begin to publicly witness that Jesus was the Messiah. Further, this event was miraculous in that while the Apostles spoke in their native language, the people from various distant countries all heard them speaking in their own native tongue. Needless to say, this caused a great disturbance as to how this was possible. And finally, this event is also considered by most biblical scholars to have been have been the start of the Church Age which will celebrate its 2,000 year anniversary in 2033.
THE DATE OF JESUS’ ASCENSION

So, Sunday May 24th, 33 AD was the start of the Church Age. And because Jesus publicly ascended up into Heaven 40 days after Passover or 10 days before Pentecost, we can now know with certainty that His ascension date was Thursday May 14th, 33 AD.
IS 2026 THE START OF THE TRIBULATION PEROD?
The year 2026 is exactly seven years before 2033. Because Jesus was crucified, buried and arose on April 5th 33 AD, the year 2033 will be the 2000 year anniversary of these events.

This could mean that 2026 is the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation Period. Jesus said that this period would start off with wars, rumors of wars, civil unrest, the appearance of unusual diseases, unusual climate changes effecting the land and oceans, droughts, famines earthquakes and dramatic increases in drug use, crime and civil and political strife. Does any of this sound familiar ? He then said events would gradually worsen until finally, 3.5 years into this period, the Antichrist or World Leader would arise. This is when the Great Tribulation Period would began and the world would quickly spiral into chaos.

Thankfully, Jesus said He would keep His followers from experiencing this ensuing chaos. Please see related: Bible Verses That Prove a Pre-Tribulation Rapture Revealed. Most Bible scholars believe the Rapture of the righteous will occur sometime before the Great Tribulation Period begins. In this way, the followers of Christ may experience and understand that the Tribulation Period has now started. This will give them one final opportunity to tell their family, friends and colleagues that today's issues are prophesied in the Bible and the Rapture event is coming. In other words, use the world's ever increasing chaos to plant a positive seed and then let the Holy Spirit take over. If they come to Christ great! If they do not, then at least they will now know to turn to Scripture as their survival guide.

The people of God have striven for the past 2,000 years to make the world a better place to live. Society is significantly better off because of the efforts of the Christian Church. But the greatest act a Christian can perform is to play a part in having a person consider salvation through Christ and receive eternal life. There is simply no greater gift one person can give to another.
