Radical Islam is an Oxymoron

The term Radical Islam is used so often that it is now heard without giving it a second thought. The term is thought to be a reference to young Arab males who have been radicalized within the peaceful religion of Islam. They are then sent out into the world and either blow themselves up, or join a paramilitary group determined to fight to the death.

But how is it that when they are killed, they are immediately replaced with a seemingly endless supply of young and mostly educated Arab men?President Obama used drone strikes that killed approximately 60,000 ISIS militants between 2014 and 2016, and yet they just kept on coming. What would make a sane educated person, join a group not only knowing that they will be killed, but looking forward to that moment? American forces go into battle assuming they will survive. Islamic soldiers go into battle hoping they will kill, and in the process, be killed. For them, to survive a fire fight is to have lost an opportunity to be taken by Allah into Paradise. The secret to this religious cult of death is that their beliefs are based on the teachings found in what they consider to be the holiest and most perfect book ever written….the Koran.

Let us first be clear, the word “Islam” does not translate to the word “Peace”. The word actually means “submission”. And the word submission is a far cry from the word Peace! 

What you are about to learn is the hidden tragic flaw in the Islamic religion. It is something that the majority of Western Islamic scholars continually try to twist in an effort to stop the Koran from meaning what it clearly states. It is this canon of beliefs that give authority to those who are willing to dedicate their lives to the spread of Islam either peacefully, or if necessary, by violent force. It is these beliefs that allow Islamic clergy such as an imam or mullah to encourage, sanctify and eulogize those young Muslim men who were willing to fully understand, embrace and die according to the straightforward commands of the Koran. And it is the reason that many Western Islamic scholars and devotees have long been calling for a complete fundamental paradigm shift in the basic canons of what they and the world today see as an outdated belief system based on the norms of the Middle East in 600 AD. 

The following verses have been taken straight out of the Koran and speak for themselves. This is not an all-inclusive list of calls for violence whenever a Muslim feels the need to defend themselves, or feels they are being oppressed because of their religious beliefs. A copy of the Koran translated into English can be purchased at any Walmart store for eight dollars.

2:190-193- “Fight in the cause of Allah those who {you perceive} are fighting against you.” 2:216- “Fighting may be something you dislike. But it is a thing which is good for you, just as you can love a thing that Allah knows is bad for you.” 3:157-158- “And if you are killed {fighting for Allah} it is unto Allah that you two will be brought together.” 3:169-“Think not of others killed on behalf of Allah as they now live in the presence of Allah.” 3:195- “Those that have been killed {in the name of Allah} he will blot out their sins and admit them into the gardens with flowing rivers; a reward from Allah.” 4:101- “Unbelievers {all non-Muslims} are to be considered as enemies of Islam.” 4:74-75- “Those that fight in the cause of Allah sell this world for the Hereafter. To die is to achieve victory, and Allah will reward him a great and valuable gift. Those who believe will fight in this cause of Allah, and those who do not fight, are for the cause of evil, so also fight against these friends of Satan.” 4:89- “They wish you would not fight and thus reject your faith as they have by not fighting. So do not befriend them and if they renounce their {Islamic faith}, seize and kill them wherever you find them.” 4:95- “Those who sit peacefully at home and do not join in the fight for Allah, will receive a low grade {reward} from Allah as opposed to those that fight who will receive a high grade.” 5:36- “The punishment for those perceived as waging war against Allah {Muslim religion} and his people are to be killed by way of crucifixion, or the cutting off of heads, hands and feet as this is their disgrace in this world and also a heavy punishment in the Hereafter.” 5:54- “You who believe in Allah, never take Jews and Christians as your friends or protectors. They are only friends and protectors to each other. If you befriend them you are as one of them. Know that Allah does not guide these unjust people." 8:12-17- “Remember, Allah inspired the angels with this message, I am with only you {Muslims}. Stand firm in your beliefs and I will instill terror in the hearts of the unbelievers {non-Muslims}. Strike them with swords above their necks and cut off all their fingertips because they are against Allah and his followers. When you meet a non-Muslim who appears hostile, do not turn your back but fight, otherwise you will receive the wrath of Allah and be sent to Hell.” 8:59-60- “Unbelievers will never win. Instead you will strike terror into them.” 8:65- “Fight in the name of Allah and twenty will kill two hundred. One hundred will kill a thousand non-Muslims for these are people not of the understanding {belief} of Allah. 9:5 “Fight and kill non-Muslims whereever you find them.”9:14- “Fight non-Muslims and Allah will punish them using your hands.” 9:29- “Fight those who do not believe in Allah and follow his commands even if they are people of the Book {Jews and Christians} until they pay a Muslim tax and admit they are completely defeated by Allah’s people.” 47:4- “Therefore, when you meet non-Muslims, strike at their necks in the name of Allah who would have done it himself if he could have.” 61:4- “Truly Allah loves those who fight in his cause in battle dress and become as if they were made out so solid stone and invincible.”  

A simple reading of these and other passages reveal how easy it is for a young, naive yet devout Muslim male who is feeling depressed and anxious about his future, to express these and other emotions through acts of violence that supposedly bring about redemption and Paradise. And unfortunately, this holy book gives him permission to fight against all non-Islamic belief systems, especially those of the Jews and Christians. While the Koran does contain some inclusive verses, one cannot ignore the impact the verses cited above are having on young Muslim males today. 

Muslim scholars are quick to give two well-rehearsed explanations concerning these calls for violence. The first is that these verses were applicable only to historical situations during the founding of Islam. Mohammad was persecuted in Mecca and thus justified in his brutal military actions the last ten years of his life in Medina and throughout Saudi Arabia. But the problem is that nowhere in the Koran are the commands to fight restricted to a special time period or against a special group of people. While the Old Testament occasionally cites a command by God to strike down a people, it is always ordained that this action was to take place at a certain time in a certain place against a certain people. The command to be continuously at war with other nations, peoples and religions is not left open ended as it is in the Koran. This is why so called Orthodox Muslims believe that these commands to use violence to spread the one true religion of Islam are universal and applicable for all times, all places and all people. This makes Islam the only world religion that contains calls for violence against others in order to spread its belief system. 

The second major explanation for why a supposed religion of peace has so many verses concerning the use of violence to spread its doctrine is that, violence is only to be used in special cases concerning self-defense and fighting oppression. But the problem with this argument has always been, who defines the terms self-defense and oppression? Historically, the Islamic definition of these terms has been significantly broader than their use in the Western world. For example, Orthodox Muslims would say that if a nation’s leaders do not acknowledge the rule of Islam, then these rulers are oppressors and have become legitimate targets for war. Many Muslims see America as a Christian, morally corrupt, military aggressor. It actively exports the seductive Christian religion which promises salvation through faith in a Jewish Messiah. It perverts young impressionable minds through its exportation of scandalous fashions and Hollywood values. And it supplies the newest and most powerful weapons of war to what is considered by most Arab nations as the illegitimate Jewish nation of Israel. So, a fight against America is a fight against its false religious beliefs and its legalized perverse moral standards. Further, war with America is an act of self-defense against the US and Israeli military industrial complexes. This explains why Iran is intent on developing a nuclear weapon, and why there is seemingly no end to the number of Muslim paramilitary groups. They all use the claim of self-defense and oppression to start never-ending wars. And suspiciously, these wars always take place in small peaceful third world countries where the government's military forces are under staffed, under trained and under paid. Meanwhile, Islamic forces are highly trained and have weapons paid for by any number of oil wealthy Islamic nations looking to export their religious/political beliefs in the world through force. 

Therefore, acts by Islamic forces whether it be in the form of violence, or the legal persecution of other religions are not isolated incidents. They are not aberrations carried out by "radical" Islamic factions distinct from the peaceful religion of Islam. This consistent pattern of ongoing world-wide violence legitimately springs from the very roots of Islam. It started with Mohammed and the brutal wars of terrorism he personally waged against his own people in order to establish his religious and political beliefs. 

Muslims believe that the Koran is the pure unadulterated Word of God. The Koran was written by Mouhammad who said he had a series of revelations from God (610-632 AD). Today, all Western theological scholars agree that Mohammad wrote the Koran primarily by patching together parts of the Old Testament, the Jewish Mishna {a commentary}, the New Testament, fictional third through sixth century accounts about Jesus, and some his own personal understandings. When Muhammad announced his monotheistic system, he was surprised and angered to find it was rejected by the Jews, Christians and even his own people. In fact, he had to quickly escape from his own home town to avoid bodily injury. He concluded that he would need to create an army in order to force his race, under threat of death, to accept his theology. You see, he was now tasked with trying to replace the 360 pagan gods his race had worshipped for thousands of years. 

Therefore, he quickly set about systematically conquering one Saudi province after another forcing the people to 'submit' or be executed. He also added to his religious doctrine that war atrocities, torture and death were acceptable to Allah if it helped to spread the Islamic theocracy of peace? This explains why the terrorist Osama bin Laden quoted some of the very same Koran passages listed above in order to create an army of dedicated followers, and provide Koran supported justifications for his brutal acts of terrorism. 

In closing, a PBS program known as “Frontline” ran an episode titled “The Saudi Arabia Time Bomb”. It revealed that approximately 35% of Saudi school studies are dedicated to religious education. One of the text books used is a collection of Muhammad’s sayings. One lesson is titled, The Victory of the Muslims Over the Jew. According to Muhammad, Allah revealed to him what would happen to the Jews at the end of the Age. Muhammad wrote, “The last hour will not come before the Muslims will fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them to a point where they will hide behind rocks and tree. At that time, the rocks and trees will call out: Oh Muslims, oh servants of Allah! There is a Jew behind me, come and kill him”. So, the text books the Saudi children are studying is stating that Allah, their god, has ordained that they as Muslims, will be involved in a great war with the Jews. And this fight will continue until the entire Jewish race is exterminated. Students are also taught that the Jews are the enemies of all Muslim believers as they will never approve of the Islam religion. Therefore, a Muslim is never to trust them. 

However, Muhammad wrote that the Christians were to be pitied as they were tricked by the Gospels concerning the divinity of Jesus. He stated that Jesus was virgin born, lived without sin, and was a great prophet and healer. But He was not the Son of God nor was He resurrected. Muhammad also stated that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was the most perfect woman ever born and that Allah would marry him to her in Paradise. 

On an interesting note, in 1948 the UN General Assembly passed a resolution recognizing Israel as a state. The very next day, the Islamic nations of Egypt, Iraqi, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria all simultaneously launched a coordinated attack on Israel from the north, south, east and west. However, over a fourteen month period, they were all systematically defeated. Since then, Israel has fought seven full scale wars and experienced hundreds of terrorist attacks. And in every case, the Muslims have been soundly defeated. In fact, Israel has even confiscated portions of their lands that once bordered the Israeli nation. So, if Allah was fully behind Islamic nations, why have they lost every single war? Not some wars, but every war? A rational mind would have to conclude at some point that the God of Israel is more determined to keep Israel a nation than Allah the god of Islam is determined to destroy it?

Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of Muslims are good, honest, hardworking, Allah fearing people. Unfortunately, recent polls conducted by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies show that almost 90% of Arabs across sixteen countries do not recognize Israel as a legitimate nation. And almost 70% said that the October 7^th 2023 massacre and beheadings of 1,200 innocent Jewish men, women and infants by Hamas was for a legitimate cause. Further, a 2017 Pew Research Poll showed that across all Arab countries and the world, the overwhelming majority do not read the Koran. Instead, they memorize verses but only vaguely know what the verses mean. This is because the verses are written in Arabic script. Further, Arabs primarily identify themselves as Muslim because of heritage and family tradition. Thus, while the vast majority are dedicated to their religion, at the same time, they are blissfully unaware that their religion is based on doctrines that clearly approve violence in order to achieve religious and political goals. The goal for Islam is to become the one and only religion of the world guided by Sharia law. A draconian seventh century legal code that denies human rights, gender equality and democracy. However, the Koran does allow polygamy (up to four wives), disciplining a wife using a wooden rod and marrying children. For example, Muhammad had at least eleven wives, got engaged to a six year old and consummated the marriage when she turned nine.   

A few of the more interesting revelations in the Koran considered by Muslims to be the direct word of God. Muhammad said he was told by Allah that the Earth is flat, semen comes from the ribs, pedophilia is allowed, men can own sex slaves, a man who rapes a woman must marry her or pay a fine, no consumption of alcohol but opioids can be smoked, and meteors are Allah throwing arrows at evil spirits. Needless to say, Muslim clerics are continually forced to practically tie themselves into knots trying to make these, and many other nonsensical and false pronouncements by their prophet make sense. With this in mind, one has to ask themselves this question concerning Muhammad as a prophet. Did God use him to communicate existing biblical revelations to his race, or did he communicate existing biblical revelations to his race who then saw him as a prophet? The answer is clear. 

Ultimately, the existential problem with the entire population of the Earth becoming Muslim is that the religion is split between the Sunni and Shia sects. And each sect considers the other to be an absolute abomination in the eyes of Allah. Therefore, once all the people of the Earth are Muslims, a final war must take place between these two warring factions, winner take all. And, as far as they are concerned, if all humanity is destroyed in this holy war, so be it as that must have been the will of Allah. Ahh the uplifting philosophy of a death cult religion. 

However, before you pick a side and run out to buy your prayer mat, the Book of Ezekiel gives a detailed account of a future Islamic war against the Jews of Israel. And not only is it crystal clear that the Muslims will once again lose this war, but this time they are personally killed in mass by God using a series of acts of nature. And further, the entire world will eyewitness this destruction so that there is no confusion as to who and how this massive Russian led Islamic military force was utterly destroyed (Ezekiel 38:1-23). This also helps explain why Islamic forces are not cited as being involved in the final War of Armageddon. 

So in reality, all the past and present so called holy wars {Jihads} sanctioned by Islam with its terror and deaths, will ultimately have accomplished absolutely nothing! Such a terrible and tragic waste of precious young men and valuable resources that could have been used to help improve the lives of Arab people. 

One cannot help but think that the eventual total destruction of the followers of Allah all stem from a single fact. In order to be a Muslim, you must memorize the first and shortest prayer ever created. It was written and sanctioned by Muhammad. This prayer is, “There is only one god and he has no son.” 

Anyone who openly denies Jesus is the Christ and Son of God is an antichrist (I John 2:22). Muhammad, while on his deathbed, told his favorite wife that he was not sure if he was going to be allowed into Paradise. It turns out he was not.
